Sean Renner
Sean Renner is a composer, producer, and multi-instrumentalist whose work blends organic-electronic production with modern orchestral scoring. His music spans film, television, podcasts, and live performance, with credits across Netflix, Hulu, Apple TV, Amazon Prime, MTV, PBS, and Sky TV, and screenings at Sundance, Tribeca, Slamdance, and Dances With Films.
His recent work includes additional music and string arranging for the Rian Johnson-produced Netflix feature Fair Play (Sundance 2023), and additional music, arranging, and orchestration for Das Boot (Sky TV/Hulu), winner of the Hollywood Music in Media Award for Best Foreign TV Series Score. Renner has also composed scores for upcoming feature films starring Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor and Jonathan Rhys Meyers, and has contributed to award-winning documentaries, audio dramas, and short films.
As a recording artist, Renner has released five LPs and numerous singles, with music licensed across MTV series and feature films. His loop-based solo live performance has toured extensively across the U.S. and Canada.
Renner holds an MFA in Music Composition & Performance from CalArts and has taught at CalArts, Elon University (Los Angeles campus), and Susquehanna University.
